Generally, I am try to remain calm and not allow my opinions play into these rankings, but after the moves that were made by some of the owners, I couldn’t help but light a few people up for their lack of understanding and downright poor decision making. Enjoy.
1). Knights of a Knight (2-1)
Without a doubt, this team is the most powerful through three weeks of the early season. Personally, I still question Alex’s decision to not consolidate three third rounders to acquire higher level picks, but so far, Josh Jacobs/Amari Cooper/Derrick Henry have all contributed to this effort of being the most powerful team in the BBC. I still can’t believe he chose CMC over Barkley. Not only is CMC better and healthier, he’s also better. He looks on track for a BYE.
2). Kig Bahunas (2-1)
This team is strong; the question will be whether or not his owner gets in the way. Here’s a quick recap on the Ravens offense through three weeks: top 5 in yards per rush, top 5 in attempted carries and one of the most dynamic QB’s in football. Stop benching Mark Ingram. If he’s active, he’s a must-start. Secondly, I can’t help but realize you’ve chosen to drop Tony Pollard for Jarvis “Juice” Landry. When Zeke breaks his leg, commits assault outside a local bar on his BYE week, or tests positive for an illegal substance you will really regret spending the $1 for Laundry. Yikes.
3). Voodoo Mama Juju (3-0)
As usual, steady, composed and always well managed as Steve comes in at 3-0. Believe it or not, Steve may very well have the WORST tandem of running backs in our league. He’s found himself here on the back of Lamar Jackson, Evan Engram, and solid play at the WR/D/ST/K positions. The more I play fantasy, the more I realize games are truly won/lost by the owner’s decision to play QB/TE/D/ST/K. Steve’s team isn’t flashy, but you can count the correct people will be played – multiple people (mainly Shula) could learn from this.
4). Yarvard U (3-0)
Mike Evans. Welcome back to fantasy relevance.
5). The Cluster Screw (1-2)
Earl, yet again, has found a way to find himself in the thick of things down picks and firepower. He’s scored in the top half of points per game this year, but loses Saquon, and with the Melvin Gordon return imminent, could be tracking downward as the second half the season approaches. The Redskins are so bad, I can’t imagine following them, watching them and reading about them. No wonder Earl likes hockey.
6). Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen (1-2)
Tom’s season was saved for the time being due to the play of Matt Ryan and Dalvin Cook. While Tom won, he has holes to fill. Big matchup with Josh this week – the loser may look to sell their best assets. Enjoy your time in Spain/Portugal, and stay active on Slack especially if you lose. Dalvin will go for a high $.
7). Drew Brees Sandwich/Lights Kamara Action/Kamara Shy (1-2)
Maybe Josh should care less about his fantasy name and more about finding ways to find and do so a little more responsibly. One could certainly question Josh’s maturity and responsibility in a fantasy setting when choosing to pay a BBC record $70+ for TJ Hockenson. The last point he scored was Week 1. Excellent job by Josh to rob Justin of Davante Adams for a seventh rounder that makes him more formidable than he was last week. Alvin Kamara is an absolute animal.
8). Prison Mike’s Dementor’s (1-2)
One league owner texted me yesterday saying: “ Justin never ceases to amaze me with his inability to do anything correctly as a fantasy owner.” This owner is right. He didn’t draft Dalvin at 7, he then traded away the guy he took at 7 for Mecole Hardman (he plays for the Chiefs, Grant) and $10, cannot play the right QB, and continually overvalues his players. He sees Ellis this weekend, in what I believe to be a managing mismatch for the ages.
9). #Hustlin (0-3)
Shula’s season is probably over, but will be a stalwart until week 6 when it comes to selling away his assets. It looks like Shula will play the right guys against Eric for the first time this year. Nice trade for Brady. Let me attempt to help you: Cooper Kupp is a WR2 and is a must start every week. Stop benching him for Emmanuel Sanders. He finally came around on the auction draft after disagreeing with it without understanding it. That makes sense – thanks for the input. When you read this, have a smart comment, try to resist it to the best of your ability. How was bowling with the girl?
10). Yo Adrians (1-2)
While Eric is much more concerned about everyone else’s roster than his own, his sucks. He’s last in points in our league and I can’t say I see it getting much better. I won’t say anything else because I think Eric understands how bad he’s been over the last three years and is genuinely devastated about his current performance.
