1). Yo Adrians (1-0)
Eric takes the top spot this week. The stack of Mahomes + Tyreek is scary to face and he has my 3 top WRs going into week 1. 2 disappointed this week, but as we saw, one of them can make up for the others if that ever happens again. Then you have Dalvin and Montgomery looked real good week 1 against a tough defense. Only hole right now is the TE position. Hockenson cough cough.
Best Draft Move: No real value in his picks (except Montgomery), but he got who he wanted and didn’t hold onto his money. Got the best back in the draft.
Worst Draft Move: He would say drafting Mahomes, but it’s probably feeling good right now. I still think having a top tier TE is so nice to have so I’ll go with leaving without Waller/Kittle
2). Yarvard U (1-0)
Stephen comes in at number 2 because of Travis Kelce. I’ve said it over and over, but there is no greater positional advantage in fantasy football. Stephen could have some decisions at flex from week to week. No real holes on this team except Deebo. Deebo sucks.
Best Draft Move: Waiting on value at QB with Kyler and buying Alvin Kamara
Worst Draft Move: Dropping $140 on Henry. He is a game changer, and obviously awesome to have, but that’s a lot of keesh.
3). Dixie Normous (1-0)
You can literally flip a 3-sided coin between Alex, Eric, and Stephen. I changed the order a couple times. It’s hard putting CMC’s owner in at the number 3 spot. He didn’t score a TD and was RB 2 on the week. And guess what?! Mixon who Alex got shit on for is the RB 1! Suck it everyone! CMC and Darren Waller are awesome pieces for this team.
Best Draft Move: Darren Waller. Positional advantages are so nice and CMC/Waller are great ones.
Worst Draft Move: 3 QBs. I get the value that came with Lamar, but no one should have 3 QBs after a draft. Also still think Alex should have paid for another top RB.
4). JUSTY BUGS (1-0)
I really like this team. This is one team that could easily jump into the top 3 or maybe it’s a top 4. If there is one team to go all in on for fantasy purposes, it’s Dallas. BUT, if Dak goes down, this team will take a major hit. Grant has studs and he has some depth.
Best Draft Move: I thought Grant got good value with Najee and I liked the Amari Cooper pick
Worst Draft Move: Not spending up on another WR. I like the depth, but think there were some guys a tier up that could have been bought.
5). Swift Buffalo (0-1)
Shula, I consider you one of the more level-headed guys when it comes to fantasy.. check your lineup. You literally may have cost me $50 or whatever the lame punishment we have is. Also, the excuse of afternoon delight is poor.. we all know that delight lasted no more than 2 minutes. I like your team though and love that you bought Chubb.
Best Draft Move: I love CeeDee Lamb this year and you got great value in Carson.
Worst Draft Move: Mike Evans is wildly inconsistent with all the targets that are now in TB. He can certainly blow up any week, but usually needs TDs.
6). Prison Mike (0-1)
Justin’s team had a massive week. It feels weird putting him at 6 because I like his WRs and really like Swift, but I don’t know if he has a true RB1 and they are not easy to come by in fantasy. Swift could be there this year, but I see his RBs as a lot of RB2s and RB3s. Flex will be a decision each week.
Best Draft Move: I LOVED the Swift pick for $13
Worst Draft Move: I didn’t love the Josh Jacobs pick. I think Justin could have been a little less conservative and spent up on 1 or 2 guys.
7). Knights of the Knight (0-1)
Peter Martin, welcome to your first power rankings! Your team SUCKED this week. I do think that this team will bounce back though. Ekeler is being eased in off the hammy and Jefferson scored that TD. The positional players only scored 2 TDs this week and that is bound to change. I would be nervous about James Robinson with Urban Meyer as HC and Julio without Arthur Smith in TEN.
Best Draft Move: I will always love the value of Robert Woods in drafts and also liked the Ekeler pick
Worst Draft Move: I thought Peter’s draft went well, but Julio may be the answer here.
8). The Cluster Screw (0-1)
The Caribou Killer comes in at number 8 because I just don’t like Saquon. Also, the WR core is not great, Bob. I feel like this team will have some weeks where it pops off, but more than likely to put up average weeks or massive stinkers.
Best Draft Move: N/A
Worst Draft Move: Spending $114 of your $143 on Saquon and Kittle. I do like Kittle, just a lot of money allocated to 2 guys when starting with less than most.
9). Stafford Infection (1-0)
9 and 10 in the rankings are probably going to look very similar every week. I can’t believe I’m starting the season a game behind him (Shula you suck). Josh started Rhamondre Stevenson who scored him -1.5 and he still won. This team is also very bad, but Josh and I look forward to the 2022 draft!
Best Draft Move: Michael Thomas stash and possibly Ja’Marr Chase who he didn’t even want
Worst Draft Move: Coming in with no money and spending on DJ Moore when he could have spent $2-$3 on other guys.
10). Trey Lance, Lance Refrigeration (0-1)
My team sucks butt. The end.
Best Draft Move: TJ Hockenson
Worst Draft Move: Deciding to come into a draft with a max bid of $8. Won’t ever do that again.
