In the Words of Ceelo “DO YOU LOVE FOOTBALL?!!” The NFL Season is back baby and we get to watch the game we love in just a few short hours. Let the rollercoaster ride of emotions begin.
1). #Hustled (should be Swift Buffalo in my opinion)
Shula came out of the draft with my #1 and #2 WR, #1 TE, and has 3 very solid RBs. Shula got slack for buying Conner, but I think he can be great again if he can stay healthy. Shula did a great job to get top talent with his auction money. He even went above and beyond to shove his $$ in our faces buy outbidding himself on Carson…
2). KU NU
CMC, Saquon, Zeke.
In typical Josh fashion, Josh has absolute studs at the RB position, but his WRs suck. WR is the only hole this manager has with his RBs, Dak (or Deshaun), and Andrews.
For those of you who are mad at Josh’s team, why didn’t you buy CMC or draft Zeke?
3). The Cluster Screw
Earl came out fast and furious in the draft. No one expected anything less. Earl is bolstered by a solid trio of RBs in Ekeler, Gurley, and CEH. CEH carries some risk as we’ve never seen him out there and he’s a rookie coming out of this weird off-season, but I love him and KC does too. Earl is solid at WR as well with Julio and Kenny G. Brady is fine at QB and Earl is hoping for a year 2 breakout in TJ Hockenson. If Earl sees injuries he could be in trouble as his depth isn’t great.
4). Prison Mike P. Mike (did you mean to add on the P. Mike?)
Justin’s team could easily be higher than #4 on this list. I think that the top 4 teams are in their own tier personally. This is the best team I have ever seen in Justin’s lineup! I think the reason Justin lands here and not higher is just due to the slight risk that some of these guys have.
Jones – They drafted Dillon in the second this year (WHY GB?!)
Hopkins – New team, New QB (might not matter as he is an easy top 3 WR in the league)
Gurley – Knee
These concerns could be nothing though and his RBs, WRs, and Mahomes makes this a team to look out for. Let’s end this playoff drought!
5). Super Kamario Bros.
I could be sitting at 6, but suck it Tom, I like my team better. Alvin Kamara has some risk with his contract situation, but I locked up my insurance in Lat Murray. I made sure to buy Jacobs to lock up my RB 2 spot and while I don’t have any big name WRs, I made sure to get guys who will hopefully see a ton of targets now that we are half ppr. I don’t think I have any holes, but certainly lack some of the star power of the teams ahead of me on this list.
6). Team Voldemort
As I said above, Tom could easy be #5 on this list. I do love the RB tandem in Sanders and Mixon, but am slightly concerned in Sanders’ health holding his full bell cow opportunity back. Love Godwin and either TE he chooses to start (looks like both this week according to his lineup). Tom gathered a lot of value toward the end of the draft, and has some guys with boom potential, but you gotta spend that money!
7). Yarvard U
Lamar Jackson. Stephen’s QB of his beloved Ravens and now Yarvard U could win him any week. I’m slightly worried about Chubb with Hunt in the picture (and the new deal), but he’s still one of the best pure runners in football and Stefanski loves to run the rock. Curious to see how DJ is used in the Houston offense, and if he still has it (we’ll find out very soon). Ceilings are way high for Stephen’s wide receivers, but they also have some low floors. Not a ton of depth here, but this team can blow up any week.
8). MUSTY BOUNTAINS
Grant and Eric are neck and neck in the next tier. I personally think that Grant did a pretty good job with his $59 (except for not using it all). It will be interesting to see how the Denver backfield will play out, but Grant made sure to lock both backs up. If Ben is truly back and full go, JuJu and Diontae can be great for this team. Grant lacks stars, but has upside and potential breakouts on his bench. Let’s hope his team doesn’t underwhelm like his team name did…
9). Yo Adrians
We never expected Eric to come out of this draft with a great team as he went all in on the 2019 season. With that being said, he has done a nice job of getting some guys with upside at the end of the draft and off waivers. He scooped up DeVante Parker who was the #7 overall WR last year after Tom dropped him for Robbie Gould. Eric is determined to not come in last.
10). Knights of a Knight
As I traded for Josh Jacobs at the end of this year’s draft, Alex’s words were “Perfect for me. Never wanted to win this year.” I never want those words to ever leave my mouth. Congrats on the $380 though. Excited to see this manager flaunt his gay pride.
